Working as part of FBM Architects’ successful commission with Crawley Borough Council, MJP Planning supported a programme of studies to identify opportunities for estate intensification. The work explored how underused land within Council-owned estates could be sensitively redeveloped to deliver much-needed new homes, while retaining and improving existing housing. Proposals at sites including Lansbury Road and Bristol Close demonstrated how careful design could unlock additional capacity, enhance green space and play areas, and strengthen neighbourhood character. This formed part of a wider Council-led strategy to meet housing needs through sustainable, community-focused growth.
