Sensitive Reinvention of a Landmark Site in Woodford Green
MJP Planning secured approval on behalf of Jaspar Group for the redevelopment of the former Police Station at 509 High Road, Woodford Green. The scheme delivers 31 high-quality homes, comprising 22 flats and nine family mews houses, alongside landscaping, car and cycle parking. The design responds sensitively to the site’s Conservation Area context, retaining much of the existing building while introducing carefully scaled extensions and new housing typologies. A large communal garden, children’s play space and extensive urban greening provide residents with high-quality amenity and biodiversity enhancements. The project represents a sustainable reuse of a long-vacant site, helping meet Redbridge’s acute housing need.
