MJP Planning provides commercially minded planning advice across a broad spectrum of development sectors, with a specialism in design led urban intervention and regeneration schemes.

Before setting up MJP Planning in 2022, Max was a Planning Director at Maddox, an independent town planning consultancy based in London, where he developed his client base and experience over a 9 year period. This built upon invaluable experience gained at Savills and WYG (now Tetra Tech), adding to his 19 years in planning consultancy.

During Max’s career, he has gained a broad range of experience advising landowners, developers, house-builders, local authorities, operators and housing associations on feasibility studies, providing pre-purchase advice, devising planning strategies and formulating development teams. He has advised on the submission and negotiation of complex planning applications and appeals, negotiated section 106 agreements and prepared representations in respect of development plans.

Max has extensive experience in dealing with development proposals of all scales, from single dwellings, multi-unit backland and infill schemes, to the most complex major mixed use development proposals in London and throughout England.
