Redevelopment of Temple Fortune Health Centre to deliver a modern medical facility and new homes

Planning permission has been granted for the redevelopment of Temple Fortune Health Centre, replacing the outdated 1970s building with a high-quality four-storey scheme. The proposals deliver a fit-for-purpose, fully accessible medical centre on the ground floor, cross-funded by 11 new homes above. Designed by GPAD, the building adopts a distinctive curved brick façade and generous terraces, with a landscaped rooftop garden and enhanced biodiversity throughout. The development improves the setting of the Hampstead Garden Suburb Conservation Area while meeting Barnet’s housing and community infrastructure needs, supported by London Plan policies promoting small site housing delivery and the retention of vital community uses.
